Canada visa requirements for Nigeria citizens
Last verified: 2026-09-29 · Official source
A visa is required. Route: Visitor visa (Temporary Resident Visa).
Apply online with IRCC, pay the processing and biometrics fees in Canadian dollars, then give biometrics at a VFS Global centre in Lagos or Abuja. Reported processing runs 8 to 16 weeks and can be longer at busy times, so use IRCC's own processing-time tool. VFS charges a separate service fee in naira that is not included in our total.
Processing time: 56–112 days (typical, not guaranteed)
